Simpler, More Customizable Than Ever

Shima: We first released the Technics Audio Connect app around April 2020, coinciding with the launch of our first true wireless model, the EAH-AZ70W. Since then, we made significant improvements to its customizability and design with the second model, the EAH-AZ60, and we have continued to refine and enhance the app right up to the present day.

Hagio: In particular, we streamlined the initial setup process to make it far more intuitive. We’ve improved the app so first-time users can navigate directly to the home screen, and access usage instructions and recommended settings via the Mastery Guide on the home screen with just a few taps.

Shima: For sound quality adjustments, we’ve included 6 presets and 3 custom EQ settings. Previously, users could only create one custom EQ profile—we expanded this to three to let you enjoy complete freedom in customizing your sound to your exact taste. This is a key upgrade for the app.

Hagio: There are a few recommended settings to unlock the full high-fidelity potential of the earphones:

  • Set LDAC to On
  • Set Multipoint connection to Single device only
  • Set Audio Dropout & Latency Reduction to Maximize Dropout Suppression

With these settings enabled, you can experience the EAH-AZ100’s exceptional sound quality to its fullest extent.

Hagio: We understand that every user has unique preferences for how they use the earphones’ touch sensors. Some users adjust volume frequently, others skip or rewind tracks often, and some prefer identical touch controls on both the left and right earbuds. We’ve added fine-grained customization options for the touch sensors to accommodate all these different usage habits.

Shima: The ideal audio settings change with the listening scenario, location, and even your mood. Since the app’s initial release, we’ve rolled out countless improvements—and as a result, we’re now able to deliver a tailored Technics experience that’s personalized to each and every user.

Hagio: Many earphone and headphone apps are set up once and then rarely used again. But our goal for Technics Audio Connect is to create an app that users will continue to use and value for the entire lifespan of their earphones.
